As a writer, singer, playwright, poet, spoken word artist, visual artist, motivational speaker and more...this multitalented artist uses her spiritual guidance to bring art, words and music into agreement.. Her debut album, “Spoken Soul” fuses jazz, hip hop, reggae, new age, neo soul and R&B into a collaboration of music, song and spoken word. Each piece is intricately woven to create an amazing soulful experience. “I want to inspire people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures so I tried to include something for everyone to relate to”, says the visionary. Spoken Soul accomplishes this vision as a universally creative work of art!
JagWonder had a knack for the entertainment field at a very young age. She has been singing, acting, reciting poetry and verses in church, Sunday school and school since the age of 3. Her love for the art led her to drawing, painting, dancing, singing and acting while growing up in her home town of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, USVI. JagWonder has written many poems over the years. She has also produced several fashion shows, plays, artists’ showcases and open mics. In addition, she is the founder of the Open Mic Club, an organization created to allow students of all ethnicity, cultures and background the opportunity to create and participate in creative events. Her goal is to give others an outlet to express themselves through their art. This passion and love for entertainment led JagWonder to create her company, NextUp Entertainment, LLC. In addition she works with several non profit youth organizations, such as Unity Children Foundation for Liberia and Right Path Youth Foundation. Through her work Janet is able to realize her own dream of helping others realize theirs.
